Lets face it, we all hate to shop, but in order to obtain these clothes, one must go out and shop. So here are some tips for shopping.
- Shop with a girl, or at least a gay person
It is always nice to get an opinion of someone else when shopping. Shopping with another person will give you someone to get perspective and ideas from. A friend will also honestly tell you whether or not something looks good on you or not.
- Patience is Required
Not every shopping trip will yield what you want. Be prepared to go shopping with the idea that you might not pick up anything. At times it might seem like a waste, but it is better then wasting money on something you buy for the sake of buying something from your trip.
- Trust your gut instinct
If you put on something, and you don’t like how you look, then it is probably not for you. Then why come to this site you ask? Well this site can’t tell you what to buy, but it can tell you where to look and what to try out. The rest is up to you.
- Be flexible with your budget
Men are cursed with expensive clothes. Don’t handcuff yourself whilst shopping by having a set budget. Have some flexibility when buying clothes - it will open up a more varied range of stores.
- Don’t be intimidated by expensive looking stores
Don’t feel intimidated when entering a fancier store. The people in the store are only there to help you. Some stores also have really good sales which rival stores you think are cheap. Especially around inventory season.
- Use the internet
The internet is a great resource to scope out good sales and deals. There are many sites out there with forums that are dedicated to finding great shopping deals.
Most stores change their stock every 4 months I think, so if you eye something and deem it too expensive, that is about the timespan you have before the stores put that item in the sales bin at the end of the store.
- Look through the sales rack
The sales rack is a great place to get a good deal. It is almost always located at the back of any store and probably features a lot of older styles (new for you). The clothes are still the same quality, but maybe just not whats new - still, if you are willing to go thru the racks, you can come up with a great find.
